This role provides exposure to three key sub-departments: Talent Sourcing, Assessment & Selection, Employee Onboarding & Development, and Employee Transition & Offboarding. As an integral part of the HR team, you will contribute to the various stages of the employee lifecycle, gaining valuable insights and hands-on experience in HR practices.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Talent Sourcing, Assessment & Selection:

  • Assist in the screening of resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
  • Participate in interview processes, including scheduling, conducting initial interviews, and providing feedback.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to enhance the candidate experience.

Employee Onboarding & Development:

  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive transition.
  • Assist in preparing orientation materials and conducting orientation sessions.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of onboarding procedures.

Employee Transition & Offboarding:

  • Assist in offboarding procedures, which may include exit interviews and documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of offboarding checklists and materials.
  • Department Managers and Fellows will also collaborate with the HR team to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (human resources, business administration, or related fields).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Duration and Compensation:

  • Duration: 5 months (flexible start and end dates).
  • Compensation: This is unpaid.
