Position Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) partners with people leaders within their assigned client groups to provide expert advice and support strategic business thinking in all Human Resources related matters. This role is required to promote, implement, and execute HR programs and initiatives ensuring compliance to legislation, the collective agreement and Society policies with an end result of operational success and a positive impact to employees.
Working as a strategic business partner, the HRBP is accountable for understanding the needs of each specific client/project and being proactive in identifying, designing and implementing programs as well as providing HR support that meets each clients′ needs.
Qualifications
- Degree in human resources, business, industrial or labour relations, or related field.
- CHRP or CHRL designation is considered an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources.
- 2+ years of experience must be working in a capacity of providing advice on people management (e.g. attendance, performance management, discipline, grievances, complaints).
- 1+ years of experience leading others.
- Experience working in a unionized environment, using HR data to provide evidencebased advice to people leaders, and facilitating high-stake meetings with multiple stakeholders to resolve a people management matter is required.
- An equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training may be considered as appropriate.

Candidates must undergo and successfully pass a background check before an offer of employment may be made. Proof of education is required. This position is covering a leave of absence.
