
HR Manager
Location: Canada - This is a hybrid virtual working position in the Greater Toronto Area, and the incumbent will be required to be in the Toronto office for staff meetings at least twice a year. They may also be required to attend in-person events in Toronto as needed. Some international travel may also be required.
Salary: The salary range at 37,500 - $41,250 prorated for the part time role and final salary will be based on an assessment of skills and experience at interview stage. (The annualized salary range is $75,000 - $82,500)
The role

This role will provide high-quality, professional HR support across Canadian operations, ensuring compliance with local employment legislation and alignment with World Animal Protection’s global HR strategies, working closely with the Canada Management Team and the International People team. This role will act as the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters, supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management and HR policy implementation. The HR Manager will help foster an inclusive, engaging and high-performing culture aligned with organizational values.
This is a flexible half-time position supporting a team of approximately 25 employees. While the Canada organization operates in a digital-first largely remote model, it does maintain an office in Toronto and the majority of the Canada team members are in or near Toronto. The preference is for the Canada HR Manager to be located in or near Toronto.
