HR Administrator

Salary: $30/hr

Position Type: Part-time, 3 days/week, permanent

Location: Remote in Canada

Overview of Role

This position is responsible for day-to-day administration support for the North American Human Resources Department.

Public Outreach is a rapidly growing organization of over 800 diverse staff in Canada and the USA, undertaking fundraising efforts on behalf of dozens of non-profit organizations. We are looking for a specialist who can help us stay on top of compliance, reporting, and best practices across many states as we grow into new markets.

Reporting to the HR Manager, this role will facilitate the work of the HR department by providing support in our administration, reporting, and other team support activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day HR tasks - 70%

  • Supporting on frontline inquiries from the staff with simple follow-up
  • Supporting development of HR resources (in email, Canva, Google Sites and other mediums) for internal communications to staff, advertising staff programs, resources, and other helpful reminders
  • Completing ongoing follow-up and reminders on outstanding requests from staff and managers on behalf of the HR team
  • Collaborating with HR team on team projects as needed
  • Sharing and communicating various documentation of programs or events with staff

Reporting - 20%

  • Following up on inbox audits, error tracking, etc., to produce reporting on areas of improvement from which the HR department can build their education and response strategies
  • Providing cadenced reporting on unused vacation time, training attendance, pay audits, demographic audits, etc, from our payroll software and other sources

Other support as needed - 10%

  • General support to HR team as requested
