Hoarding Community Support Worker

Full-time position 35 hours weekly

Hybrid work environment

Contract position to December 31, 2026

Working in a community health setting as part of a team focusing on increasing education around hoarding to organizations and the public, as well as supporting services to individuals living with hoarding behaviors.

In this role you will:

• Support community education sessions and group activities
• Network with existing Tenancy Risk Reduction Services program community partners
• Identify potential new partners and assist with developing new service partnerships
• Work with clients one on one, and in support groups
• Assist with administrative tasks

Services are provided both virtually and in person.

CHATS will provide: Personal protective equipment; training and support; paid mileage

Required Skills:

• Social Services Worker Diploma.
• Experience working with clients living with mental health conditions
• Knowledge of hoarding disorder and harm reduction approach
• Experience in community health setting
• Experience facilitating groups and assisting with development and recruitment
• Experience with delivering presentations
• Knowledge of the health care system
• Knowledge of local community resources
• Microsoft office experience
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively with a team.
• First Aid certification required.
• Vehicle and valid Ontario driver’s license required.
