Position Title: Health Promotions Program Assistant
Volunteer Type: Hybrid
Location: Online/3333 Finch Ave East.
Volunteer Hours: Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays 9:30am-11:30am
Volunteers Needed: 1
Reports to: Volunteer Services Coordinator
Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of virtual and in-person programs for Korean-speaking seniors. The role assists with facilitating workshops, trips, gatherings, registration, event setup, program evaluation, and outreach to ethno-cultural communities and faith groups. Working closely with SPLC staff, the successful candidate will help create accessible, engaging, and culturally responsive programs that promote connection and participation among Korean-speaking seniors.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate virtual and in-person sessions (workshops, trips, gathering) with Korean-speaking seniors;
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of project activities;
- Assist in the set-up, registration;
- Outreach to ethno-cultural communities, faith groups through ethnic media and cultural events;
Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Second language is a must (Korean)
- Strong organizational skills;
