About the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA
The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA (HBSPCA) is a registered not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the well-being of animals and fostering the human-animal bond. For almost 140 years, we have been a trusted voice for animals in need — rescuing, caring for, and rehoming thousands each year, while providing education and advocacy to build a more compassionate community. Today, the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA stands at an inspiring turning point. Through our “Unleash Love” campaign, we are fundraising to build a new state-of-the-art animal care and community facility — a space designed to improve the quality of life for animals, enhance access to services, and strengthen the connection between pets and people across our region. This is a transformational moment — one that calls for visionary leadership, strategic acumen, strong governance, and a deep commitment to our shared belief that all pets deserve to be happy, safe, and wanted.
