
Gutsy Walk Tear Down Support Volunteer
Come join the fun as a Gutsy Walk volunteer!
Gutsy Walk is Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s signature national fundraising event celebrated on the first Sunday of June each year. Thousands of people across Canada come together on one day to raise money to advance medical research and improve the lives of Canadians who are affected by these diseases.
This role involves in-person interactions.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada policies and procedures, including the Volunteer Code of Conduct.
- Sign in at the Volunteer/Operations Booth and collect your uniform
- Ensuring all equipment and materials are packed away and that the park is left as clean as you arrived
- RENTALS: Tables, chairs, bring all items to the designated area and ready for pick up.
- TENTS: Ensure all tents are empty are empty and free of signage.
- FOOD: Perishable items to be packed and ready for distribution to Food bank or volunteers
- Non-perishable items to the storage
- SIGNAGE: Take down signage and any company banners placed in the designated area for pickup
- CROHN’S AND COLITIS CANADA SUPPLIES: Load signs, registration materials, T-shirts, incentive prizes, volunteer boxes, vests, and leftover product in vehicle for storage.
Time commitment:
Volunteer shifts will be scheduled for the first Sunday of June and vary from 3-5 hours based on need and your availability.
