Gutsy Walk Set up Support Volunteer

Come join the fun as a Gutsy Walk volunteer!

Gutsy Walk is Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s signature national fundraising event celebrated on the first Sunday of June each year. Thousands of people across Canada come together on one day to raise money to advance medical research and improve the lives of Canadians who are affected by these diseases.

This role involves in-person interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada policies and procedures, including the Volunteer Code of Conduct.
• Sign in at the Volunteer/Operations Booth and collect your uniform
• Setting up venue for the best event day experience. Ensuring all equipment and materials are situated in work areas according to the plan provided by the team lead or staff;
• RENTALS: Tables, chairs, games. Bring all items to the designated area and ready for distribution to the appropriate area.
• TENTS Ensure that all tents are ready for set up at right location with signage.
• FOOD: To be distributed to the food tent area.
• SIGNAGE: Signage and any company banners placed in the appropriate spots for display
• CROHN’S AND COLITIS CANADA SUPPLIES: Unload signs, registration materials, T-shirts, incentive prizes, volunteer boxes, vests, into appropriate areas of the park.

Time commitment:

Volunteer shifts will be scheduled for the first Sunday of June and vary from 3-5 hours based on need and your availability.
