
Gutsy Walk Registration Help Volunteer
Come join the fun as a Gutsy Walk volunteer!
Gutsy Walk is Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s signature national fundraising event celebrated on the first Sunday of June each year. Thousands of people across Canada come together on one day to raise money to advance medical research and improve the lives of Canadians who are affected by these diseases.
This role involves in-person interactions.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada policies and procedures, including the Volunteer Code of Conduct.
- Sign in at the Volunteer/Operations Booth and collect your uniform
- Attend pre-registration refresher training before event day as well as event day refresher
- Ensure a smooth registration process on Gutsy Walk day.
- Greet walk participants in a friendly manner
- Partner with another volunteer to collect pledge forms from participants.
- Verify that all pledge totals are accurate and balanced.
- Ensure all pledge forms are completed correctly and legibly for tax receipts and thank-you letters.
- Complete required paperwork as outlined during training.
- Assist with counting and reconciling all cash donations.
- Hand participants their t-shirt (if applicable)
- Thank participants for attending and supporting us. Wish them a great walk experience
Time commitment:
Volunteer shifts will be scheduled for Sunday, June 1, 2025 and vary from 3-5 hours based on need and your availability.
