Come join the fun as a Gutsy Walk volunteer!
Gutsy Walk is Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s signature national fundraising event celebrated on the first Sunday of June each year. Thousands of people across Canada come together on one day to raise money to advance medical research and improve the lives of Canadians who are affected by these diseases.
This role involves in-person interactions.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada policies and procedures, including the Volunteer Code of Conduct.
- Sign in at the Volunteer/Operations Booth and collect your uniform.
- Wear your volunteer uniform for the duration of the event for identification
- Review photo guideline information about which shots to capture on event day, photo specs, and how to submit photos
- Take photos that capture the spirit of the Gutsy Walk, highlighting moments of fun, support, and connection.
- Include event branding in your shots, such as Gutsy Walk t-shirts, signage, and logos.
- Approach participants in a friendly and respectful manner.
- Use your own photography equipment for the event.
- Respect privacy by deleting any photos upon request from individuals who have not given their photo consent.
Time commitment:
The volunteer will be scheduled for the whole event day (4-6 hours) on Gutsy Walk Day.
