Crohn’s and Colitis Canada mission is to find cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and to improve the lives of the millions of Canadians living with these chronic illnesses. Volunteers are at the heart of this mission, and your creativity can help make a real difference. As a volunteer with Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, the impact of your efforts will be felt by Canadians affected by Crohn's or colitis today, and for years to come.
We’re looking for imaginative and passionate individuals to join our team as Gutsy Runway Designers for our one-of-a-kind fundraising fashion event. This year’s magical theme: Winter Wonderland.
Are you the right fit for the team?
As a Gutsy Runway Designer you will create a breathtaking fashion piece made entirely from toilet paper! Yes, you read that right! Your design will be showcased on the runway, turning heads and sparking conversations, all while raising awareness and funds for an important cause.
What you’ll do:
- Adhering to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada policies and procedures, including the Volunteer Code of Conduct.
- Design & create a toilet paper dress or outfit that captures the Winter Wonderland theme.
- Fundraise by setting up a personal page and rallying friends, family, and your network to donate.
- Collaborate with our Gutsy Runway team for tips, inspiration, and support.
- Showcase your creation live at the event (attendance required).
- Share your journey on social media (optional, but the more buzz the better!)
This role involves in-person interactions.
Date & Location:
- Friday, November 28, 2025 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
- Chartwell Meadowbrook, 18 Jacobson Drive, Lively, ON.
Time Commitment:
- Work on your design at your own pace from now until event day.
- Be available from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. on November 28 to present your masterpiece.
What you bring:
- Creativity & an open mind – You love thinking outside the box.
- A flair for fashion – Design experience is a plus but not required.
- Passion for making a difference – You want your art to have impact.
- Reliability – You can commit to completing your design and being at the event.
