Salary Range: $60K to $65K

Founded by His Highness the Aga Khan and the Government of Canada, the Centre’s programs include:
- Global Analysis: Helping leaders understand the challenges and opportunities, we develop applied research and tools to measure societies’ treatment of diversity and track trends to support the implementation of more inclusive policies and practices around the world
- Educating for Pluralism: Recognising the importance of leadership in advancing pluralism, we support educators to advance pluralism within the classroom and throughout educational systems and institutions
- Global Pluralism Award: Through celebrating and supporting the work of pluralism champions globally we inspire actions towards pluralism and build networks of support to leaders in different contexts
- Peace and Conflict: Pluralism is most needed, and often hardest to apply, in situations of extreme conflict. We support peace practitioners to apply a pluralism lens in their work in peace processes around the world
About the position:
The Grants and Reporting Officer will be responsible for ensuring the sound management and compliance of donor-funded projects led by the Global Centre for Pluralism. Under the supervision of the Senior Officer, Resource Development and Reporting, they will support the planning, implementation, coordination, compliance, monitoring, reporting and financial oversight of projects, working closely with both GCP and external colleagues to deliver on project objectives.
This position may require international and domestic travel, as well as work on occasional weekends and evenings.

Main duties and responsibilities:
The Grants and Reporting Officer, reporting to the Senior Officer, Resource Development & Reporting, will:
- Ensure sound management of donor-funded grants or contributions;
- Coordinate with partners, GCP staff and external resources and partners to ensure sound project implementation;
- Liaise with donors including government officials on project delivery and management of project funds;
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements including on project monitoring and reporting;
- Liaise with GCP Finance team to ensure rigorous financial management and reporting;
- Support design and delivery of project activities by GCP or partners;
- Coordinate with GCP communications team to ensure project achievements and impact are captured and effectively reported;
- Contribute to high quality proposals and funding requests;
- Other duties, as required.
Skills and experience:
The ideal candidate will be experienced in project management and the delivery of donor-funded projects, with strong attention to detail and organizational and time management skills, a positive attitude and who is at ease balancing competing priorities and multiple ongoing projects.
The candidate will be committed to the values of pluralism.
Specifically, this individual will possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working on donor-funded projects, especially in terms of project management and compliance with donor requirements;
- Experience with reporting on results and impact to funders and complying with specific requirements;
- Experience coordinating with external actors (e.g. partner organizations), including across cultures and contexts, to achieve project results;
- Experience working on sensitive and difficult topics including those related to fragile and conflict-affected geographies;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (reading, writing and communicating orally); English essential, French, Spanish or Arabic an asset;
- A post-secondary degree, or a combination of training and experience, in international relations, political science, international development, public policy or a related field.
- International work experience would be considered an asset.
