Position: Grants Manager

Position Details: Remote (in-person on event days only)

Description:

Terra Elysium, a Toronto-based not-for-profit organization working in Neighbourhood Improvement Areas (NIAs), is seeking a detail-oriented individual for the role of Grants Manager. This position will play a critical role in working closely with the Executive Director to create funding applications, securing resources to support Terra Elysium’s continued growth and long-term success. The Grants Manager will contribute to the organization's sustainability through successful grant acquisition.

Responsibilities:

Grant Application Development:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to research and identify potential grant opportunities.
  • Prepare, write, and submit grant applications to secure funding for Terra Elysium's programs and initiatives.

Budgeting and Financial Documentation:

  • Work with internal teams to develop accurate budgets for grant proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements and contribute to financial documentation as needed.

Grant Management:

  • Oversee the administration of grants, ensuring adherence to grant guidelines and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain clear and organized records of grant applications, responses, and reporting deadlines.

Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the development of a strategic funding plan to support Terra Elysium's long-term goals.
  • Identify new funding opportunities and partnerships to diversify funding sources.

Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to gather information and insights for grant applications.
  • Communicate effectively with funders and partners to strengthen relationships and partnerships.

Event Participation:

  • Be present at both in-person and virtual events as required, contributing to grant-related activities and fostering connections with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate punctuality, especially on event days, to ensure effective participation.

Leadership and Initiative:

  • Take a leadership role in developing and implementing strategies to secure funding.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improving the grant acquisition process.

Qualifications:

  • Availability for up to 15 hours per month.
  • Detail-oriented individual with strong research and writing skills.
  • Experience in grant writing, budgeting, and grant management.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely with the Executive Director and internal teams to achieve funding goals.
  • Demonstrated punctuality, especially on event days.
