Grant Writing Assistant (Student Placement)
Role Overview:
Young Bosses in Business Foundation (YBIB) is a youth-focused Canadian charity supporting
entrepreneurship, leadership, and real-world skill-building for young people.
The Grant Writing Assistant supports funding growth through research, tracking, and application
support. Reports to the Head of Donor Relations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research grant and sponsorship opportunities aligned with YBIB
• Maintain a grant tracker (deadlines, requirements, status)
• Support drafting and completing application sections using internal resources
• Keep supporting documents organized and submission-ready
• Support edits and revisions prior to submission as assigned
• Coordinate quick updates via WhatsApp as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
• Best suited for college/university students enrolled in Nonprofit Management, Communications, English/Writing, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Business, or related
programs, and completing field placement hours
• Strong writing skills and attention to detail
• Organized and able to manage deadlines and trackers
• Comfortable using Google Suite and communicating via WhatsApp for quick coordination
and updates
