Volunteer Opportunity: Grant Writer (Remote)

Commitment: 8 hours per week (flexible) | 1 day per week
Duration: Until October 11, 2026 (extension possible)

CEDO-Canada is seeking a Volunteer Grant Writer to support our mission of empowering vulnerable communities across Canada through effective fund development, program design, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Write grant proposals, concept notes, and expressions of interest
• Research funding opportunities, donor priorities, and trends
• Support needs assessments to inform program and funding strategies
• Assist with donor reports, project reports, and annual reports
• Track project progress and support evaluation activities
• Maintain grant databases and funding records
• Collaborate with program teams to ensure grant compliance
• Support fund development strategies and partnerships

Required Qualifications:
• 2–3 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, program development, or a related field
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related discipline
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
• Understanding of donor requirements and grant application processes
• Ability to work independently in a remote, multicultural environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
