Position Summary: The Grant Coordinator will play a crucial role in identifying, writing, and organizing grant proposals to secure funding for our programs and initiatives. This individual will work closely with leadership and program staff to develop compelling proposals that align with Intimate Sessions mission, core values, and objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to grant management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Research: Identify potential grant opportunities that align with Intimate Sessions’ mission and programs, including federal, provincial, and private funding sources.
- Proposal Writing: Develop and write clear, persuasive, and well-organized grant proposals, including budgets and supporting documents, tailored to specific funders’ requirements.
- Grant Management: Organize and maintain a comprehensive database of grants, deadlines, and funding opportunities; track progress and report on grant outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with program staff to gather data and information needed for proposals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community needs.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit timely reports and updates to funders, demonstrating the impact of funded projects and maintaining positive relationships.
- Budget Preparation: Collaborate with the finance team to create accurate and realistic budgets for grant proposals.
- Networking: Build and maintain relationships with funders and community organizations to enhance collaboration and support.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in grant writing and management, preferably in the nonprofit sector, but not limited to.
- Strong research skills to identify funding opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
- Passionate for community work and community empowerment.
