Governance Committee Volunteer
Join Our Governance Committees
Help shape the future of affordable housing in our community.
HOTT is seeking passionate, community-minded volunteers to join the Governance Committees of our non-profit affordable housing organization.
Our committees provide an opportunity to contribute your skills, experience, and perspective while helping advance our mission of creating and sustaining safe, secure, and affordable housing for individuals and families in our community.
We welcome volunteers with a range of professional, lived, and community experience. You do not need to be a housing expert, what matters most is your interest in our mission, willingness to contribute, and commitment to collaborative decision-making.
Committee Opportunities

Help strengthen our organization's visibility, community relationships, fundraising efforts, and communications. Ideal for individuals with experience or interest in fundraising, communications, marketing, public relations, sponsorships, community engagement, or relationship building.
Housing Development & Proposals
Support opportunities to expand and improve affordable housing. Committee members may contribute to discussions around housing development, project opportunities, funding applications, proposals, partnerships, and community needs. Experience in real estate, construction, development, project management, planning, or proposal writing is an asset.
Finance
Help provide oversight and strategic guidance on the organization's financial health and sustainability. Individuals with experience in accounting, finance, budgeting, investments, audit, banking, or financial management are particularly encouraged to apply.

Help identify and respond to policy issues affecting affordable housing and the people we serve. This committee is suited to individuals with an interest or experience in public policy, government relations, advocacy, research, social services, housing policy, or community development.
