ROLE OVERVIEW

GOOGLE AD ACCOUNT MANAGER

About us

The Volunteer Well is a Canadian non-profit dedicated to fostering a more inclusive, compassionate society by directly connecting volunteers ("givers") with individuals in need ("receivers"). Through an innovative direct-source volunteering model, we empower individuals, strengthen families, and unite communities—especially those facing systemic barriers such as women, seniors, new immigrants, low-income individuals, and marginalized groups.

Our mission is powered by a digital portal, high-impact programs and events, partnerships with businesses and philanthropists, and advocacy that champions generosity as a force for social change. By breaking down traditional barriers to support and promoting a culture of giving, we envision a world where kindness, justice, and human connection thrive.

Why Join Us?

  • Make a measurable impact on communities in need.
  • Be part of a passionate team that values empathy, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Gain hands-on experience in digital marketing within the non-profit space.
  • Strengthen your skills in campaign strategy, analytics, and creative messaging.
  • Contribute to a mission that prioritizes equity, inclusion, and social change.

  • Optimize campaigns for click-through rate (CTR), conversion rate, and quality score.
  • Ensure compliance with all Google Ad Grants guidelines and policies.

Reporting & Optimization

  • Track KPIs and conversion goals using Google Ads, Analytics, and Tag Manager.
  • Identify areas for improvement through A/B testing and ongoing data analysis.
  • Provide regular performance reports (weekly/monthly) with actionable recommendations

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with content, program, and web teams to ensure cohesive messaging and landing page alignment.
  • Build organizational capacity by sharing knowledge and training internal staff on best practices and updates in digital advertising.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience managing Google Ads, ideally with non-profits or social impact organizations.
  • Strong familiarity with Google Ad Grants structure, limitations, and optimization techniques.
  • Proficient with Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and SEO principles.
  • Data-driven approach with solid analytical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and time-management abilities.
  • Google Ads Certifications (Search, Display, or Video) are a strong asset.
  • Self-starter with a commitment to social equity and inclusion.

We strongly encourage applications from individuals who identify as Indigenous, Black, racialized, 2SLGBTQ+, newcomers, women, persons with disabilities, and others with lived experience navigating systemic barriers.
