Get Involved at Environmental Defence Canada

Environmental Defence has a volunteer program, and we want you to get involved! Are you interested in helping out at events, supporting community outreach, educating folks through social media or learning to advocate for change with your MP, MPP or local councillor? We offer a wide variety of both in-person and online volunteer opportunities that you can find on our new volunteer portal: Vome.

Who We Are:

Environmental Defence Canada (EDC) is a leading Canadian environmental advocacy organization that works with government, industry and individuals to defend clean water, a safe climate and healthy communities. We work to safeguard Canada’s freshwater, stop urban sprawl, get toxic chemicals out of the products we use, clean up plastic pollution and transition Canadians from using dirty fossil fuels to modern, clean energy.

This month we are running clothing swaps in Brampton, Cambridge, Hamilton, Mississauga and York Region Ontario and we need volunteers!

Be part of your community’s efforts to eliminate textile waste and contribute to sustainable fashion.
