THE Network - Call for Volunteers
Toronto Home Energy Network (THE Network) is a non-profit that helps homeowners in Toronto get a heat pump with the support of their community. For the climate, our comfort and our safety, it's time to get our homes off gas. The future is all-electric and we're looking for volunteers to help bring this better future along faster.
Why Volunteer With Us
Toronto's homes burn A LOT of natural gas. Gas furnaces and boilers are the biggest source of pollution (and our biggest opportunity) in Toronto. Heat pumps make furnaces and boilers obsolete. Even without the climate benefits, they're modern, safe and deliver better comfort.
Ontario's electricity is among the cleanest in the world. Heat pumps run very efficiently on electricity, so that as our grid gets greener our homes are futureproof. Our goal is simple: we explain heat pumps and how they can work in every type of home. Then we get people who have them to share their experiences with their neighbours and help them get their own. It's a simple program, but the effects are dramatic.
