We provide a curated web platform where young people can share their ideas and perspectives on various relevant and contemporary issues across Canada and around the world. We also empower youth through our various programs that provide mentorship, knowledge and develop skills that are relevant for the industry.
Volunteer Description
INKspire is looking for passionate, well-informed youth interested in becoming a fundamental member of the Fundraising team. This particular department collaborates with various departments at INKspire to develop grant applications and secure funding for ongoing and future initiatives/programs.
As a part of the team, you will report to the Fundraising lead and assist in outlining and writing convincing grant applications based on the provided criteria.
Roles/Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Write, edit and review grant and sponsorship proposals
- Ensure proposals comply with requirements and meet deadlines
- Assist in the completion of final reports for programs and grants
- Attend team meetings to assist in the improvement and development of new programs within INKspire
- Research and identify grant and sponsorship opportunities relevant to INKspires mission and activities.
Qualifications:
- Strong writing, editing, and review skills
- Able to research, interpret and use data to develop a persuasive grant application
- Experience planning and executing events
- Experience developing budgets and work plans are an asset
- A desire to learn and grow
- Eager to be part of a team in a growing youth non-profit organization
- Experience using excel and word
Time Commitment
- Flexible hours, approx. 4-6 hours/week Volunteer must be able to commit to the position for a minimum of 6 months
- Available in the evening at least once a week for team meetings

- Volunteer must be located in Canada
