Fundraising Officer

Position Overview

Samawada is seeking a passionate and creative Fundraising Officer to help secure the financial resources needed to advance our humanitarian mission through innovative fundraising strategies, donor engagement, and community partnerships.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about social impact, philanthropy, relationship-building, and nonprofit development. The successful candidate will help expand Samawada's donor community while promoting transparency, accountability, and sustainable giving through meaningful engagement and technology-driven fundraising initiatives.

What You Will Do

Fundraising Strategy & Campaigns

• Assist in planning and implementing fundraising campaigns that support Samawada's humanitarian programs.
• Develop creative fundraising ideas for online, community, and corporate initiatives.
• Support annual giving campaigns, peer-to-peer fundraising, and seasonal appeals.
• Help identify opportunities to diversify fundraising revenue.
• Contribute to long-term fundraising strategies that promote sustainable organizational growth.

Donor Engagement & Stewardship

• Build and maintain positive relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community supporters.
• Assist with donor outreach, communications, and appreciation initiatives.
• Support donor retention through personalized engagement and impact storytelling.
• Help maintain donor records and engagement activities using CRM systems.
• Promote transparency by communicating the measurable impact of donor contributions.

Grants & Sponsorships

• Research grant opportunities, foundations, and philanthropic organizations.
• Assist in preparing grant applications and sponsorship proposals.
• Support reporting requirements for funded projects.
• Help develop sponsorship packages for events and humanitarian initiatives.
• Build relationships with businesses, universities, and community organizations interested in supporting Samawada.

Events & Community Engagement

• Support fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and community outreach activities.
• Coordinate volunteers and partners for fundraising initiatives.
• Represent Samawada during networking events and partnership meetings.
• Help strengthen relationships with local communities and supporters.
• Assist in developing campaigns that increase public awareness and donor participation.

Research & Innovation

• Research fundraising trends, donor behavior, and philanthropic best practices.
• Analyze campaign performance and recommend improvements.
• Explore innovative fundraising technologies, AI-powered donor engagement, and digital giving platforms.
• Identify emerging opportunities for partnerships and community support.
• Support data-driven fundraising decisions through reporting and analysis.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with marketing, communications, finance, technology, and program teams.
• Support storytelling initiatives that showcase project impact.
• Assist in preparing fundraising materials, presentations, and campaign reports.
• Maintain organized fundraising documentation and donor records.
• Contribute to building sustainable fundraising systems for future staff and volunteers.
