
Fundraising Coordinator
Role Summary

As a small but mighty team, we are entering an exciting period of change and growth as we support St. Patrick’s Home of Ottawa in expanding the care they provide to our community.
Reporting to the Executive Director, we are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Fundraising Coordinator who thrives at the intersection of events, donor stewardship, data, and direct mail. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning plans into action—whether executing a seamless run of show, coordinating a direct mail campaign, or pulling the right data to drive meaningful results.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Mail & Digital Communication Coordination
- Coordinate direct mail campaigns
- Work closely with internal and external partners (e.g., designers, printers, mail houses)
- Ensure data accuracy, segmentation integrity, and campaign tracking
- Monitor campaign performance and support reporting and analysis
- Coordinate and execute email marketing campaigns, including list pulls, scheduling, and performance tracking
- Support website updates, ensuring fundraising content is current, accurate, and accessible
- Draft and schedule social media posts to support campaigns, events, and donor engagement
Donor Stewardship
- Support donor recognition and stewardship efforts, including acknowledgements and communications
- Ensure the timely and accurate issuance of tax receipts in accordance with CRA regulations
- Help create a positive donor experience
Event Management
- Support the planning and execution of fundraising events from concept through post-event wrap up
- Develop and manage detailed critical paths, timelines, and run-of-show documents
- Coordinate vendors, logistics, sponsorship deliverables, and on-site execution
Database Management & Reporting
- Maintain the integrity of the fundraising database with a strong commitment to quality control
- Pull lists, queries, and reports to support campaigns, events, and donor engagement
- Uphold best practices in data management
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–3 years of experience in fundraising, development, events, or a related role
- Post-secondary education (college diploma or university degree) in a relevant field
- Experience coordinating direct mail fundraising campaigns is a strong asset
- Demonstrated ability to work with donor databases/CRMs and confidently pull data
- Familiarity with CRA regulations related to charitable donations and tax receipting
- Experience supporting or coordinating events
- Experience with email marketing platforms and social media scheduling is an asset

What We Offer
Annual salary: $49,500 – $60,000
- 37.5 hours per week
- 3 weeks of vacation

Additional Requirements
- A current satisfactory criminal reference check, including a Vulnerable Sector Screen
- A clear TB test
- A valid G licence and access to a reliable vehicle for occasional travel to and from events
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
