About Us

The mandate of the facility is to help all injured and orphaned wildlife, mammals, birds, reptiles, or amphibians and release them back into the wild. We also give advice and assistance to property owners who are having problems with their wild animal neighbors and can offer humane alternatives to solve these conflicts.

Role Overview

We are looking for dedicated and creative fundraising committee members to help secure the financial resources needed to sustain and grow our programs. In this role, you will work closely with staff and fellow volunteers to brainstorm ideas, plan fundraising events, cultivate donor relationships, and support community campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend and actively participate in monthly committee meetings.
  • Help plan, promote, and execute annual fundraising events or campaigns.
  • Assist in identifying and reaching out to local sponsors, donors, and community partners.
  • Share creative ideas for peer-to-peer fundraising, online campaigns, or grant opportunities.
  • Act as an ambassador for our organization within your personal and professional networks.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Passion for our mission and community impact.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience or interest in event planning, sales, or non-profit fundraising (preferred, but not required—willingness to learn is key!).
  • Comfortable making "the ask" or connecting with local businesses and community members.

What You Will Gain

  • Make a direct, lasting difference in your community.
  • Build valuable skills in event management, non-profit governance, and donor relations.
  • Expand your professional network by collaborating with community leaders and passionate peers.
