
Fundraising Committee Member
Purpose of the Role
Supports the planning, development, and implementation of fundraising activities and initiatives that help advance the mission and financial sustainability of St John Ambulance Ontario. Committee members work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, regional board members to increase fundraising capacity and community engagement
Key Responsibilities
Participate in regular subcommittee meetings and fundraising planning sessions
Assist in developing and supporting fundraising strategies and campaigns
Help plan and coordinate fundraising events and activities
Promote fundraising initiatives within personal and professional networks
Assist with donor stewardship and community relationship building
Support sponsorship outreach and partnership development
Provide ideas for innovative fundraising opportunities
Support marketing and promotional efforts for fundraising campaigns
Expectations
Attend scheduled meetings and participate actively
Work collaboratively with committee members and staff
Act as an ambassador for the organization and its mission
Follow organizational policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills
Passion for the SJA mission and community impact
Strong networking, communication and teamwork skills
Experience in fundraising, event planning, marketing, or community engagement is an asset
Creative thinking and willingness to contribute ideas
Ability to volunteer 5-10 hours/month on average
