Fundraising and Sponsorship Director

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Fundraising and Sponsorship Director is responsible for developing and executing strategies to
secure financial support through both fundraising and sponsorship initiatives. This role is crucial for
ensuring an organization’s financial sustainability and expanding its impact.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Developing and implementing fundraising and sponsorship strategies: Create comprehensive
    plans to meet organizational funding goals, aligning with the mission and values.
  • Identifying and cultivating donors and sponsors: Research and engage individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies as potential funders.
  • Building and maintaining relationships: Foster long-term relationships with donors, sponsors,
    and funding agencies, ensuring regular communication and stewardship.
  • Coordinating fundraising campaigns and events: Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of fundraising events, campaigns, and sponsorship activities to maximize participation and
    revenue.
  • Drafting proposals and sponsorship packages: Prepare compelling grant applications,
    sponsorship proposals, and support materials tailored to funders’ interests and organizational
    needs.
  • Ensuring compliance: Monitor the use of funds, fulfill sponsorship agreements, and ensure
    adherence to relevant regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Managing donor and sponsor databases: Maintain accurate records of interactions,
    contributions, and agreements for transparency and accountability
  • Reporting and evaluation: Provide regular updates to leadership, track fundraising performance, and recommend improvements based on data and outcomes.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION:
We are looking for someone with experience in fundraising, sponsorship, marketing, or nonprofit
management with strong communication, negotiation, relationship-building, strategic thinking, and
organizational abilities.

WPHC vision is to contribute to the health and well-being of girls and women+ with disabilities by developing, promoting, and providing opportunities to participate in the sport of para hockey from grassroots development to an elite level throughout Canada.
