Volunteer Position: Fundraising and Grants Assistant

About the Role
We are looking for a Fundraising & Grants Assistant to support EquipHer’s resource-mobilization efforts. This role is ideal for someone interested in nonprofit fundraising, grants, international development, or social impact work, and who wants hands-on experience contributing to real funding efforts.
You will work closely with the Development and Grants Coordinator to support grant research, fundraising preparation, and donor-facing materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Research funding opportunities (grants, foundations, donors, competitions) aligned with EquipHer’s mission
- Track and organize grant deadlines, requirements, and application stages
- Support the drafting and editing of grant applications, concept notes, and budgets
- Contribute to the planning and execution of online fundraising campaigns (including social media–based campaigns, email fundraising, and donation drives)
- Assist with creating and adapting fundraising content for online platforms (campaign messaging, short donor copy, visuals briefs)
- Assist with fundraising materials (donor briefs, pitch decks, short proposals, impact summaries)
Who We’re Looking For
- Interest in nonprofits, fundraising, grants, or international development
- Strong written communication skills (English required; French is a plus)
- Comfortable working with digital tools and online platforms
- Good research and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
