Role Overview
MNLC is seeking an experienced Fundraising & Partnerships Volunteer to build donor relationships, cultivate sponsorships, and support community-driven fundraising initiatives. This role directly strengthens programs that help newcomers navigate life in Canada.
Responsibilities
• Identify prospective donors, sponsors, and community partners.
• Support donor cultivation, stewardship, and relationship-building.
• Assist with fundraising campaigns, events, and community initiatives that support MNLC programs.
• Develop partnership opportunities that align with MNLC’s newcomer-focused services.
• Support strategy development to increase funding sources supporting programs like English learning, employment support, and settlement services. [mnlct.org]
Requirements
• Minimum 2+ years of nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or sponsorship experience.
• Experience working with community-based or immigrant-serving organizations is an asset.
• Strong communication and networking abilities.
• Professional maturity; not a student opportunity.
• Ability to represent MNLC with professionalism and cultural awareness
