Job Summary:

The Fundraising Coordinator at Single Women in Motherhood (S.W.I.M.) plays a crucial role in supporting the financial sustainability of the organization. This position involves developing and implementing fundraising strategies, engaging donors, organizing fundraising events, and promoting S.W.I.M.'s mission to ensure continued support for single mothers. The Fundraising Coordinator will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to secure funds through various fundraising initiatives and grant opportunities.

Key Responsibilities: Fundraising Strategy & Donor Relations

  • Research, identify, and cultivate potential donors, sponsors, and funding opportunities.
  • Develop fundraising strategies in alignment with S.W.I.M.'s mission and goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors, foundations, and individual donors.
  • Prepare compelling fundraising proposals, grant applications, and sponsorship requests.
  • Document and provide reports on donor contributions and their impact.

Event Planning & Public Engagement

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and donor appreciation activities.
  • Represent S.W.I.M. at networking events, trade shows, and professional gatherings.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and communications teams to develop promotional materials for fundraising initiatives.
  • Develop and implement social media and digital marketing campaigns to increase donor engagement.

Community Outreach & Awareness

  • Advocate for the mission and vision of S.W.I.M. within the community.
  • Develop relationships with key community partners and stakeholders to support fundraising efforts.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the organization, ensuring transparency and accountability in fundraising efforts.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A university degree or college diploma in business, marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in fundraising, sales, or donor relations is an asset.
  • Strong public speaking, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute creative fundraising initiatives.
  • Knowledge of donor management software and digital fundraising platforms is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with self-direction and initiative.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed and attend various fundraising events.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
