
Fund Development Manager
A Dollar A Day Foundation is growing and looking for a stellar full-time Fund Development Manager to join our small but mighty team. This position is remote and can be filled from anywhere in Canada. We are a St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador-based national charity with the mission to narrow the gap between the need for and the availability of frontline mental health and addictions services in Canada. We’ve been raising funds to support organizations providing these services in every Canadian province and territory since 2018, granting over $5M to date, including $1.1M in 2024. Reporting to and working closely with the Executive Director, our new Fund Development Manager is someone who is excited by our mission, and who thrives on collaboration, innovation, authentic communication, and creativity. Our ideal colleague will be an ambitious professional with experience, or a keen interest, in wide-ranging fund development areas, from individual and monthly giving to major gifts, planned giving, and corporate partnerships. We’re looking for a team player who takes direction well, but is also comfortable working independently. The preferred candidate is a problem solver who identifies and meets needs, and proactively contributes their own ideas to the organization. This diverse portfolio requires a professional who enjoys variety and can maintain focus amidst competing priorities. Core responsibilities include: - developing and implementing annual and longer-term fund development strategies,
including increasing our recurring Dollar-A-Dayer donors - identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding our individual, foundation and
corporate donors, including donor recognition strategies - leading annual campaigns, employee giving programs, and peer-to-peer fundraising
initiatives - assisting in the preparation of grant applications, proposals, and presentations - assisting in impact reporting for newsletters, donor reports, and our annual report - preparing monthly reports on fundraising activities, status updates, and pipeline
opportunities - general administrative tasks as required
http://www.adollaraday.ca/Must-have experience and qualifications: - 5 years of experience in fundraising/development in the charitable/not-for-profit sector - demonstrated success in development strategy, implementation, donor stewardship,
and revenue growth - self-directed research/prospecting skills - excellent listening, speaking, writing, and relationship-building skills - demonstrated mastery of technology related to development (donor database, proposal
and presentation design) - above-average organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize
tasks and manage competing priorities
Nice-to-have experience: - Google workspace - Donor Perfect - fluency in French - living and/or sectoral experience - enjoyment of and success working in a remote environment
