Fully-funded AI + Career Skills Opportunity for Youth (York Region)

Youth Challenge International has launched a new (and free!) skill building opportunity to help young people in York Region navigate the future of work: Skills Generator: Humans x Tech.

What you’ll gain:

• Strengthen in-demand skills to support your career and resumé
• Explore how to use AI – ethically and effectively – in real-life situations
• Work on real community challenges with a team of your peers
• Connect with other young people, municipal government and industry leaders

Program Format:
A mix of virtual workshops, mentorship and in-person events in Markham/Vaughan; the time commitment is low! Only ~3 hours/week for 10 weeks.

Important Dates:

• Markham cohort: June 2 – August 4, 2026

Apply by: April 30

• Vaughan cohort: September 25 – November 26, 2026

Apply by: August 18

Who should apply:

• Youth Ages 18–24: Priority for those who are un/under-employed and not in education.
• Living in York Region: In-person events are in Markham/ Vaughan

• Open to all backgrounds: Zero previous experience required.
