Conditions of Employment:

  • 1-year full time 40 hour a week position with potential renewal
  • Working virtually from home
  • 3-month probationary period
  • Benefit coverage after probationary period completed
  • Holidays to be determined according to province of residence.
  • Wage: to be negotiated

Administrative Assistant: Providing clerical and organizational support to ensure Lifewater runs smoothly, handling tasks like scheduling, travel arrangements, communication, electronic filing, web site oversight and managing supplies.

Soft skills:

Exceptionally organized, flexible and proficient in time management, skilled problem-solving capacity, strong communication (written/verbal), attention to detail, adaptability, confidentiality, professionalism.

Requirements: To study and understand Lifewater Canada’s history, structure, objectives, programs and financial needs of the organization to maintain thorough knowledge of current and planned project initiatives

Technical skills:

  • Computer proficiency (MS Office Suite, databases, Canva, WordPress), data entry, software knowledge.
  • Key in creating, updating and managing web site (Word Press)
  • Maintain Lifewater’s brand across all forms of communication and initiatives
  • Working to support other staff members with promotional material needs, posters/email-outs etc.
  • Report preparation for staff and Lifewater board needs
  • Assist the Team lead in coordination of various fundraising and awareness events, event/volunteer support, including managing expense reports and providing regular accurate and timely reports
  • To work with staff to review video and photos, catalogue them and prepare them for social media and other promotional needs.

Experience and educational requirements:

  • A minimum of two years of experience working in a corporate or nonprofit work environment in an administrative position.
  • Possessing a passion for Lifewater Canada’s mission.

Other duties as required – We are a small workforce, and responsibilities and needs vary day by day. Flexibility is key.
