This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to apply your technical skills while making a meaningful impact on people’s lives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Empowered Futures’ web applications across the full stack (frontend and backend)
  • Build responsive, modular, and reusable UI components using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Develop backend services, APIs, and business logic using Node.js, GraphQL and Prisma ORM
  • Collaborate with other developers and participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across the stack
  • Attend weekly meetings every Monday at 4:00pm MDT

Qualifications

  • Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fi eld (or equivalent experience)
  • Profi ciency in JavaScript, ES6, and React.js (frontend)
  • Profi ciency in Node.js, and ORMs (backend)
  • Experience with TypeScript and/or GraphQL is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Willingness to continuously learn, improve, and contribute to an agile team culture
