Food Service Assistant (Supper Club)

Description: Supper Club Volunteers support BGC London’s nutrition-focused programming by helping serve meals, engaging with children and youth, and promoting healthy eating habits. Volunteers assist with food service, cleanup, and interactive learning in a welcoming, community-oriented environment.

Location & Schedule:

• Location: BGC London, 184 Horton Street
• Dates: Sept 2025 – May 2026
• Days: Monday to Friday (school weeks only)
• Commitment: 2 hours/day (3:30–5:30 PM)

Duties:

• Serve meals and snacks to children and youth.
• Engage youth in conversations about nutrition and healthy choices.
• Support a positive, inclusive mealtime environment.
• Clear tables, wipe surfaces, and assist with dishes.
• Follow basic food safety and hygiene practices.

Education/Skills:

• High school student (Grade 10–12) or adult volunteer; no prior experience required.
• Comfortable interacting with children and youth.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction.
• Food safety knowledge and First Aid/CPR are assets.
