Fitness to Practice Committee Member

The Ontario Association of Veterinary Technician’s Board of Directors is seeking a volunteer from the community to fill a position on the Fitness to Practice Committee: In accordance with the regulation policies of the association, the Committee shall hear and determine matters pertaining to Complaints of Members including ordering outcomes.

This committee is provided administrative support by an OAVT staff member and outside legal counsel. The committee meets 0-5 times per year depending on case volume. Meetings and hearings may be conducted virtually or in person. Some email communication amongst committee members is required.

No previous veterinary experience is required. Interested members of the public must be Canadian citizens and residents of Ontario.
