Summary
We are seeking a Finance Coordinator to join our dynamic team at the Roberts/Smart Centre. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing financial operations that support our mission of delivering exceptional care to youth and families. Your contributions will help ensure the sustainability of our services and enhance our impact within the community.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, your responsibilities include:
- Bank reconciliations
- Account reconciliations
- Month end journal entries and closing
- Contribute to the organization by working to improve processes
- Ensuring ongoing compliance with government funding and administrative policies / requirements.
- Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with the Director and program leads.
Provide monthly budget vs. actual reporting and expense reports to the Director and program leads. - Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for the annual audit and liaise with external auditors.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- A B.com degree with a CPA (or currently pursuing to become CPA).
- Experience working in small but high-volume office.
- Familiarity with funding / contribution agreements and the detailed financial reporting needs of funding agencies.
- Familiarity with working in not-for-profit sector an asset.
- Fluent in English required, Fluent in French a strong asset
