Humber River Health Foundation is seeking an exceptional Executive Partner to the President & CEO, Governance & Board Affairs to serve as a trusted strategic partner to the President & CEO and the central lead for Board and governance operations.
This is a senior, high-impact individual contributor role for a seasoned executive professional who thrives in complex, high-trust environments and brings clarity, discipline, and confidence to executive leadership and governance. Operating at the heart of the Foundation, this role supports effective decision-making, major fundraising priorities, and governance excellence in service of our mission.
About the Role & Working Style
As Executive Partner, you will act as an extension of the President & CEO—anticipating needs, managing priorities, and ensuring the seamless operation of the CEO’s office. You will also serve as the Foundation’s primary governance and Board affairs lead, supporting the HRHF Board and Committees and ensuring strong governance practices, follow-through, and accountability.
This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, trust, and discretion, and requires exceptional organizational skill, executive presence, and the ability to produce high-quality materials for senior leaders, Board members, and donors. This role is responsible for managing specialized, detailed work efficiently, confidently, and with a high degree of accuracy. The position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong discipline, and a deep commitment to completing work correctly and on time. A somewhat faster-than-average pace is typical, with a strong emphasis on follow-through, quality, and reliability.
What You’ll Do
- Partner closely with President & CEO to manage executive priorities, calendar, + key deliverables
- Lead Board and governance operations, including Board and Committee calendars, agendas, materials, minutes, and resolution tracking
- Prepare polished executive-level presentations, briefing notes, reports, and materials for Boards, donors, and senior leaders
- Serve as a key liaison with Board members, senior staff, donors, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional communication
- Support major fundraising and stewardship initiatives through coordination of meetings, donor materials, and executive communications
- Oversee logistics for executive meetings, governance activities, and events, safeguarding confidential information at all times
- Maintain governance documentation, Board manuals, policies, and historical records with precision and integrity
- Lead governance-related processes such as Board effectiveness activities, recruitment support, and accreditation requirements
Who You Are
- A highly experienced executive professional with a track record supporting a President, CEO, or senior executive
- Trusted, discreet, and confident, with sound judgment and the ability to operate as a true partner to senior leadership
- Highly organized, proactive, and calm under pressure, with strong follow-through
- An excellent communicator with advanced presentation skills and a keen eye for executive-level detail and polish
- Comfortable working with Boards, senior volunteers, donors, and high-profile stakeholders
- Motivated by mission-driven work and inspired by healthcare and community impact
- Solid experience using and maximizing the breadth and scope of AI Tools (e.g. ChatGPT)
- Technically fluent, using digital tools confidently to create materials and manage executive- and Board-level workflows
