Compensation: $125,000-$135,000
Inclusion Langley Society (ILS) is seeking a visionary and compassionate leader to join our executive team as Executive Director, People & Culture. This key leadership role will advance inclusive, trauma-informed, and people-centered strategies that align with our mission of supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and children with support needs.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and part of our Senior Management Team, the Executive Director, People & Culture will:
- Lead and implement a comprehensive people strategy aligned with ILS’s mission, values, and strategic priorities
- Oversee Human Resources, Labour Relations, Payroll & Benefits, Scheduling, and Communications
- Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and psychological safety across the organization
- Mentor and develop leaders at all levels in cultural competence, trauma-informed practice, and effective people leadership
- Serve as the lead representative in union matters including grievance resolution and collective bargaining
- Build systems to measure and improve employee experience and organizational culture
Key Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field
- CPHR designation (or working toward it)
- 7–10 years of progressive HR leadership in unionized, non-profit, healthcare, or social services environments
- Strong background in labour relations, change leadership, and inclusive workplace practices
- Experience leading cross-functional HR teams and influencing organizational culture
- Committed to reconciliation, anti-oppression, and human rights in workplace systems
