Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will play a pivotal role in leading the organization through a time of modernization, expansion, and impact. This is an opportunity to combine operational excellence with bold, strategic leadership, ensuring that clients continue to receive exceptional, compassionate care today while building the systems and strategies that will shape tomorrow. The Executive Director will oversee all aspects of the organization, including program operations, care and delivery, financial and human resource management, and organizational performance. At the same time, they will champion innovation by modernizing systems, digitizing care, and leveraging technology and data to drive accountability, efficiency, and quality outcomes.

The Executive Director will cultivate and inspire a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and a culture of continuous learning and improvement. By implementing objective measures and performance metrics, they will ensure that services consistently meet and exceed the highest standards. About the Opportunity

As the public face of the organization, the Executive Director will build strong relationships with government ministries, funders, and community partners. They will play a critical role in securing sustainable funding, advancing advocacy efforts, and positioning Participation House Markham as a leader within the health and social services sector. Representing the organization with credibility and influence, they will open doors to new opportunities, partnerships, and models of care that will strengthen our impact and ensure long-term sustainability.

The successful candidate will bring senior leadership experience in healthcare, social services, or a related sector, with a proven ability to manage complex operations while driving innovation and strategic growth. They will have a strong foundation in financial management, human resources, and governance, along with the ability to work productively with a Board of Directors and staff. A post-secondary degree in health administration, social services, business, or a related discipline is required, with graduate-level education considered an asset. Experience with digital transformation and the implementation of quality improvement frameworks will be highly valued.
