Job duties:

Strategic Leadership & Governance

  • Lead the development and execution of the organization's strategic plan in partnership with the Board of Directors.
  • Provide overall leadership and direction to the organization and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Ensure organizational effectiveness, sustainability, and alignment with mission and strategic priorities.
  • Support governance, risk management, and organizational performance reporting to the Board.

Global Fundraising & Resource Development

  • Lead the organization's fundraising strategy with a strong emphasis on major gifts, foundations, institutional donors, faith-based partners, and corporate partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with major donors and funding partners in Canada and internationally.
  • Expand fundraising efforts beyond Canada to support the organization's long-term growth and international impact.
  • Secure transformational gifts and strategic funding partnerships that advance organizational priorities.

International Programs & Partnerships

  • Provide executive oversight of disability-inclusive programs serving children and families in developing countries.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with governments, implementing partners, healthcare institutions, faith-based organizations, and international development agencies.
  • Support the expansion and scaling of child-centred disability programs and case management models across multiple countries.
  • Ensure program quality, accountability, and impact across all areas of operation are informed by local context, cultural understanding, and community perspectives, fostering approaches that are locally led and sustainable.

Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and mission impact.
  • Oversee organizational planning, resource allocation, and performance management.

Working conditions:

  • Regular domestic and international travel is required, including travel to countries where we operate programs, develop partnerships, and engage donors and funding partners.

Education requirements:

  • Graduate degree in International Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, Global Health, Nonprofit Leadership, or a related field.

Language of work:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Skills requirements:

  • Over 10 years of extensive experience leading organizations serving children with disabilities across multiple countries.
  • Deep Knowledge of disability-inclusive development and international child protection frameworks.
  • Over 10 years of significant professional experience working or living within countries where we operate, or in comparable international development contexts.
  • An active Christian faith.
  • Over 10 years of demonstrated experience leading international programs through partnerships and implementing organizations in developing countries.
  • Proven track record securing and managing major donor, foundation, corporate, and institutional funding relationships.
  • Experience developing and executing international fundraising strategies, including fundraising beyond Canada.
  • Strong understanding of child-centred programming, disability inclusion, case management approaches, and coordinated care models.
  • Experience working with governments, international NGOs, healthcare systems, and community-based partners.
  • Demonstrated success leading strategic planning processes and working effectively with Boards of Directors.
  • Experience managing senior leadership teams and complex multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Represent Hope and Healing International with passion, diplomacy, and insight to donors, government, media, Christian community, other Hope and Healing International stakeholders, and the general public – Articulate, reasoned, emotionally intelligent.
