Our services include primary care, health promotion, social services, community and resource development, home support and advocacy. Executive Director
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) provides overall organizational leadership to a committed interdisciplinary team in a complex and fast-paced environment. You are a collaborative, people-centred, mission-driven leader, who encourages innovation and enables change. Through an inclusive and empowering leadership and communications style, your positive attitude will help shape and communicate a compelling vision for the future of our service model. As the public face and champion of SEOCHC, you will advance our mission to provide high-quality, client-centred care while fostering a progressive, welcoming and supportive workplace for our valued team. You will sustain strong and positive public awareness of our mandates and services, lead the delivery and achievement of our strategic priorities, and cultivate enduring and constructive relations with clients, employees, funders and community partners. Thriving in a dynamic environment, you will combine authenticity, creativity and an open-minded leadership with a passion for community service. Above all, you possess exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a genuine commitment to employee engagement, wellness and development across the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field (health/social sciences, health administration, business) and 5+ years of progressive leadership experience that includes service delivery, health care, community partnerships, quality, and change management. You are committed to promoting and embracing equity, diversity and inclusivity, along with a good understanding of social justice and health equity principles. Desirable is a demonstrated history of proactivity, solutions-orientation and professional and intellectual agility, as well as a high degree of emotional intelligence. Experience working with vulnerable, marginalized or diverse members of communities is required. The ability to speak both official languages would be an asset.
