About us

Hamilton & District Extend-a-Family is a non-profit community service that provides social opportunities and friendships to children with special needs while providing respite to their families.

What you will do

• Lead and manage the organization to fulfill its mission and goals.
• Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.
• Oversee financial management and ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including donors, community partners, and families.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Represent the organization in public forums and media.

What we are looking for

• Proven experience in leadership roles within non-profit organizations.
• Strong understanding of financial management and budgeting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
• Experience in fundraising and donor relations (optional).
• Knowledge of issues affecting children with special needs (optional).
