About us: Located in Ottawa, Ontario Canada, Youville Centre is a non-profit, registered charity that serves adolescent mothers and their children. For more than a quarter century, Youville’s trauma-informed, holistic programs and services include: a fully accredited secondary school, crisis intervention, intensive mental health therapy and treatment, addiction counselling, collaborative problem solving, a licensed child development program with a focus on infant mental health and attachment-based parenting programs with intervention and treatment.

Executive Director – 3 year, renewable contract

The Executive Director for the Youville Centre is a position that requires a visionary leader who can provide energy and direction to a dynamic staff serving at-risk young mothers and their children as they strive to achieve personal mental wellness, a high school education and new skills and strategies for positive parenting.

This individual will ensure the delivery of high quality programs and services to meet the needs of the clients and oversee the general operations of the Centre. The role requires an individual with strong interpersonal skills who can be flexible and innovative to ensure the maximum appropriateness and effectiveness of programs and facility usage.

The Executive Director will confidently assume a forward-facing role, bringing the Centre’s initiatives and interests to the broader community and its many partners at the local and provincial level.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the organization’s mission

* Provide leadership and oversight to staff and board of directors

* Manage organizational finances, budgets, and fundraising efforts

* Build and maintain strong partnerships and community relationships

* Advocate for the organization’s mission and expand its visibility

* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

* Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma and substantial experience in a relevant field, such as education, health and social services, etc.

* Minimum five years’ experience in senior management

* Strong record of highly regarded work with vulnerable populations, preferably among young people and children

* Commitment to working with multi-disciplinary teams and in partnership with funders, governments and other community-based organizations

* Has demonstrated experience with fundraising and grant applications

* Competent in the use of Information Technology and skilled in the use of basic

software such as Excel, MS Word, etc.

* A valid driver’s licence
