
Events Coordinator
Position Summary
The Events Coordinator plays a key role in planning and delivering engaging virtual and in-person events that support APC’s mission. Working as part of APC’s community engagement efforts, this volunteer will help create meaningful experiences for patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, donors, and supporters across Canada.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, creative, and passionate about bringing people together for a meaningful cause.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute virtual and in-person events, including educational webinars, community gatherings, awareness campaigns, and fundraising initiatives.
- Develop event timelines, budgets, and logistics plans.
- Coordinate with internal teams, volunteers, speakers, sponsors, and external vendors.
- Support event promotion in collaboration with APC’s marketing and communications team.
- Manage event registration, attendee communications, and post-event follow-up.
- Track event outcomes, participant feedback, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure all events align with APC’s mission, brand, and strategic priorities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in event planning, project coordination, or community engagement is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with virtual meeting and event platforms is an asset.
- Passion for APC’s mission and commitment to supporting the ALK-positive community.
Time Commitment
Approximately 4–6 hours per week, with flexibility depending on event schedules and timelines.
