
Event Organizer
* Event location is in Ottawa, will expand to Toronto and Montreal in the future

The Event Organizer will oversee the planning and execution of events that strengthen LandSeed’s visibility, deepen community engagement, and support strategic goals. This role blends creative direction with hands-on coordination—managing everything from pre-event outreach to post-event follow-up.
You’ll work across teams (marketing, design, partnerships, and operations) to ensure each event reflects LandSeed’s mission and drives meaningful outcomes. From small community gatherings to large-scale activations, you’ll own the logistics, timelines, and audience experience.
This part-time, flexible role is ideal for a proactive, organized professional with experience leading in-person, virtual, or hybrid events—someone who can think strategically, execute effectively, and bring people together around shared purpose.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and execute events, including trade shows, conferences, and community activations
Manage event logistics from start to finish—venue selection, vendor coordination, setup, and on-site operations
Develop timelines, checklists, and communication plans to ensure smooth event delivery
Work with internal teams to align event goals with broader outreach, marketing, and engagement strategies
Oversee event materials, signage, and setup to create a cohesive experience
Track event outcomes and feedback to evaluate impact and improve future planning
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
3–5 years of hands-on experience in event planning, coordination, or marketing
Proven ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
Familiarity with event tech platforms (e.g., Eventbrite, Cvent, Bizzabo) and registration systems
Strong vendor negotiation and coordination skills
Basic understanding of event ROI and attendee engagement strategies
Nice to Have
Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation
Experience organizing virtual or hybrid events
Exposure to B2B events or industry trade shows
Desired Experience Level
Ideally 3–5 years, but open to strong candidates with 2+ years and demonstrated capability

Event management: Eventbrite, Cvent, Bizzabo
Communication & project coordination: Slack, ClickUp
CRM: HubSpot or equivalent for guest tracking and follow-ups
Virtual event: Zoom Events, Hopin, On24
Time Commitment
15–20 hours per week, flexible based on project timelines
