Join our Kitchen Chef and Program Staff in preparing a special meal for the Evergreen Health Centre Appreciation Dinner on Friday, June 12. This meaningful event honours the dedicated volunteer Evergreen Health Centre medical professionals who provide essential healthcare services and compassionate support to community members throughout the year. In this role, your contributions will help create a good dining experience and ensure a successful celebration for these healthcare volunteers.

Yonge Street Mission (YSM) makes a positive difference in the lives families in need, street involved youth, and adults experiencing chronic poverty in Toronto! We’re seeking volunteers to help our Evergreen Kitchen staff team to plan and prepare memorable meals and snacks for guests at our upcoming event! A volunteer confirmation letter of reference will be provided!

VOLUNTEER ROLE/DUTIES:

Volunteer will get to assist our Evergreen Kitchen staff with all the event food preparations, which will include:

• Assist with grilling and cooking under the guidance of our Kitchen Chef.
• Prepare ingredients and support meal production.
• Plate meals and snacks, and arrange food and drinks on event tables.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, by assisting with general kitchen cleanup, including clearing counter surfaces, and washing dishes, pots, and utensils.

POSITION HOURS/ COMMITMENT:

• Date: Friday, June 12th
• Duration: 1pm-4pm
• Commitment: One day, from 1pm-4pm
• Location: Major intersection is College and Spadina
