The Ottawa Amateur Radio Club (OARC) needs a volunteer Equipment Coordinator to oversee all its work in upgrading and maintaining local Amateur Radio equipment and infrastructure (e.g., the VE2CRA repeater), exploring a possible new-hams equipment library, piloting various approaches to improving the Club’s agility (i.e., the ability to quickly deploy Amateur Radio stations for activities), proposing equipment and tools for Club programs, and providing technical advice to Club members. There is already a volunteer working group and the Club is looking for someone who can help bring more consistency to all these initiatives and find better ways to keep things organized.

Perhaps you are an Amateur Radio operator, or have an interest in Amateur Radio or other technical hobbies. Maybe you are a retired RF or electrical engineer, or a retired engineering or applied-science technician or technologist. Perhaps you have some experience with project management in a highly technical area. If you would like to apply your skills to a worthwhile local club, you will find a very appreciative group here!

Be part of a team that shares a passion for Amateur Radio and technical hobbies. Gain experience in administering an equipment program in a supportive, volunteer-driven environment. A letter of recommendation from the OARC President could be another benefit of a volunteer job well done.
