
Engagement Manager
Note – All interviews for successful applicants will take place on August 8 and 9, 2026 on an online platform. Candidates who are unavailable on these dates will not be considered.

Location Requirement
Only applicants currently residing in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) will be considered. Mandatory in-person training sessions and client engagements are primarily centered within the GTA.

We are seeking Engagement Managers with 4+ years experience leading teams and working with clients within a consulting firm or similar business environment and/or had demonstrated leadership qualities in previous Endeavour engagements. As the Engagement Manager of the consulting team, you will have the opportunity to lead a 6-month engagement from September 2026 to February 2027 to provide strategic management advice to the leadership of a non-profit organization. The time commitment required to Engagement Managers is 10-15 hours a week. Teams are typically composed of five Consultants, led by an Engagement Manager and with mentorship from a Project Advisor with Subject Matter Expertise in the industry.

What you will do as an Engagement Manager
The Engagement Manager plays a pivotal role in the overall success of the consulting engagement in the following areas:
1. Project Leadership & Management
2. Client Leadership and Relations
3. Advisor Relations
4. Team Member Development
5. Organizational Development & Knowledge Management
To be a successful Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
• Participate in all orientation and training sessions.
• Project Leadership & Management: Lead a team of 4-6 volunteer consultants by delegating tasks, providing clear direction, facilitating team progress, and ensuring timelines and deliverables are met. You will also oversee the development of the statement of work in consultation with the Client and Project Advisor.
• Client Leadership and Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and ensure their satisfaction. Lead the development of strategic options and recommendations, and present these to the client.
• Advisor Relations: Engage with Endeavour’s Advisory Committee and Executive Team, share experiences and insights, and seek guidance to enhance project outcomes.
• Team Member Development: Focus on coaching and mentoring your team of consultants and providing guidance to help develop their skills and capabilities.
• Organizational Development & Knowledge Management: Contribute to the growth and development of the organization by sharing feedback and experiences with the Endeavour Executive Team. You will work with the team to research, collect, analyze, and synthesize data, thereby contributing to the organization's knowledge base and expertise.

Engagement Manager candidates require the following qualifications:
• 4+ years full-time work experience in the private/public/non-profit sector is recommended
• Demonstrated leadership ability in a team environment; experience in leading project team, solving project issues and conducting data analysis would be considered an asset
• Initiative taker, eager to break new ground, create opportunities for others
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem solving skills
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; preparation and presentation of visual PowerPoint decks and reports to Senior Executives is considered an asset
• Project management experience is considered an asset
• Consulting and non-profit experience is considered an asset

Time Commitment
Depending on the phase of the project, volunteers are expected to commit 10-15 hours per week for project work, meetings, events and travel. Volunteers schedule meetings with their team, client and advisor based on the availability of the participants, and make their own travel arrangements to and from meetings and events
Event Dates
Volunteers must be available to attend the following events for Round 39, tentatively scheduled for the following dates:
• Engagement Manager Training: Sept. 26, 2026
• Orientation and Training Session 1: Oct. 3, 2026 (in-person)
• Training Session 2: Oct. 31, 2026
• Mid-Term Presentation: Dec. 5, 2026 (in-person)
• Final Presentation: Feb. 27, 2027

Round 39 Fall/Winter 2026 applications will be accepted until July 7, 2026 at 11:59PM (Eastern Standard Time).
Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply well in advance of the application deadline to allow sufficient time to clarify any questions and resolve any technical issues.

Using a Gmail account will help ensure seamless access to these materials throughout the recruitment process.
Successful candidates will be contacted between July 28 and August 3, 2026 for an interview to take place online during the weekend of August 8–9, 2026. The interview will include behavioral and situational questions, along with a brief non-profit case study. Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit the case study in advance and deliver a presentation during the interview.
