Donor Relations Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Donor Relations

  1. Assist with Donor Relations Strategy Implementation:
    • Support the execution of the donor relations strategy.
    • Help identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors.
  2. Support Fundraising and Donor Engagement:
    • Assist in organizing fundraising campaigns and events.
    • Help develop and implement donor engagement activities.
    • Support donor recognition programs by preparing thank-you notes and other appreciation materials.
  3. Donor Communications:
    • Draft and distribute regular updates to donors, such as newsletters and personalized letters.
    • Ensure timely follow-up with donors after donations and events.
  4. Database Management:
    • Maintain and update donor records in the database.
    • Input and manage data related to donor interactions and contributions.
    • Assist in analyzing donor data to identify trends and opportunities.

Communication

  1. Content Creation and Management:
    • Assist in creating content for newsletters, social media, and the organization’s website.
    • Ensure messaging is consistent with the organization’s branding.
  2. Social Media and Digital Marketing:
    • Help develop and execute social media strategies.
    • Monitor social media channels and engage with the community.
    • Assist in analyzing the performance of digital campaigns.
  3. Internal Communications:
    • Support internal communication efforts by preparing newsletters and updates for staff and volunteers.

General Management

  1. Volunteer Coordination:
    • Assist in training, and supervising volunteers involved in donor relations and communication activities.
    • Help foster a positive and collaborative environment for volunteers.
  2. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Assist in generating reports on fundraising activities and donor engagement.
    • Help analyze reports to refine strategies.
  3. Collaboration with Other Departments:
    • Coordinate with other departments to support integrated communication efforts.
    • Assist in cross-functional projects as needed.

Additional Tasks

  1. Administrative Support:
    • Provide administrative support to the Director of Donor Relations and Communication.
    • Handle scheduling, meeting coordination, and other logistical tasks.
  2. Event Planning:
    • Assist in planning and executing donor events, including managing invitations, RSVPs, and event logistics.

Required degree level

  • Experienced (Non Manager)
